Trump's Sister Says He's a Cruel Unprincipled Liar & the President's Bizarre"Deep State" Vaccine Lie

The President's sister says that Trump is unprincipled, incompetent and cruel.
President Trump’s sister, former federal judge Maryanne Trump Barry, was recorded by her niece, Mary Trump, discussing the President's immigration policies in 2018 and 2019. Yesterday, Mary released those tapes to the Washington Post and they paint a very dark picture of the President.
Talking about Trump's child separation policy at the border, she describes her brother as having "no principles."
Washington Post: “All he wants to do is appeal to his base,” Barry said in a conversation secretly recorded by her niece, Mary L. Trump. “He has no principles. None. None. And his base, I mean my God, if you were a religious person, you want to help people. Not do this.”
She then goes on to critique her brother's general character and competence.
Washington Post: “His goddamned tweet and lying, oh my God,” she said. “I’m talking too freely, but you know. The change of stories. The lack of preparation. The lying. Holy shit.” ...
... “It’s the phoniness of it all. It’s the phoniness and this cruelty. Donald is cruel.”
Why is it that the people that know the President best, seem to have the lowest opinion of him?
Trump's bizarre and dangerous "deep state" lie.
Yesterday our President claimed, without a shred of evidence, that the "deep state" is holding up a Covid-19 vaccine in order to harm his reelection chances.
Trump, Twitter: "The deep state, or whoever, over at the FDA is making it very difficult for drug companies to get people in order to test the vaccines and therapeutics. Obviously, they are hoping to delay the answer until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed, and saving lives!"
It's a hideous, dangerous, insane lie, but it's also what the nation can expect from Trump as the election nears.
Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado quickly responded on Twitter, pointing out that Trump's lies are making it harder to battle the pandemic.
Bennet, Twitter: "The president’s dangerous and unhinged conspiracy theories continue to undermine our doctors and scientists and make it more difficult to respond to the pandemic."
Bennet is way too polite. The reality is that Donald Trump isn't overly worried about undermining efforts to fight the pandemic. He's much more interested in his reelection and, as his sister points out, he has "no principles."
