Three New Polls Find that Support For Impeachment Continues to Increase

President Donald Trump will not like the new Fox News poll which found that 51 percent of respondents want him impeached and removed from office, with an additional 4 percent that want him impeached but not removed. 40 percent oppose impeachment in the poll. Unlike the network's opinion commentators, their polling is widely respected.
Perhaps even worse for the President, Fox's poll found that 51 percent of voters think the Trump administration is more corrupt than previous administrations, with only 27 percent saying it is less corrupt.
The Fox poll corroborates one released on Tuesday by the Washington Post-Schar School which found that 58 percent of Americans say the House was correct to open the impeachment inquiry, with 38 percent opposed.
Even the President's favorite pollster, Scott Rasmussen, found that 48% of voters believe President Trump should be impeached and removed from office, with 39% against impeachment. The Rasmussen polls are generally considered outliers with a more conservative mix of respondents than found among the voting public.
These polls are not far off from recent presidential approval polls which show that Trump's core support hovers right around 40-44 percent of voters, with about 53-55 percent opposing the President and his policies.
