Survey: Half of Republican Men Say They Won't Get Covid Vaccination & That Says Volumes

A new NPR/PBS/Marist poll asking Americans if they would get the Covid-19 vaccine when it becomes available to them, found that Republican men were the most likely subgroup to say they won't. About half [49%] say they will decline the vaccine. On the other end of the political spectrum, only 6% of Democratic men said they won't get vaccinated.
Those that analyze a lot of political survey data will tell you that the difference between 49% and 6% is a rare statistical chasm. It's as if Republican men had been living under a rock for the last year and hadn't heard the news about the pandemic sweeping the nation. Are they so infatuated with Donald Trump and his insane conspiracy theories that they are willing to risk serious illness or die for him? Is there some Jim Jones, drink the Kool-Aid thing going on within the GOP? Are they willing to prevent the nation from reaching herd immunity in order to thwart Joe Biden?
Each day the party of Lincoln seems closer and closer to becoming a Jonestown death cult, willing to sacrifice the country's future on the alter of Trump.
