Not The Onion: Trump Ruminates About Injecting Covid-19 Patients With Disinfectants

Some good news today; according to a new Associated Press-NORC Center survey almost no one trusts what the President says about the coronavirus pandemic. According to their research only 23% of Americans have a high level of trust in what the president is telling the public. Generally, in a crisis that would be bad news, but considering some of the President's statements and tweets, it's probably best that nobody is listening.
Yesterday we got a look inside the President's head to see how he analyzes information and it's a scary, scary thing. After learning that disinfectants can kill the Covid-19 virus on surfaces, he suggested that we should look into injecting patients with disinfectants to battle the coronavirus.
Trump via the Washington Post: “I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute,” Trump said during Thursday’s coronavirus press briefing. “And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside, or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets inside the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that.”
"Almost a cleaning;" let that sink in for a second.
The President says stupid things all the time, so that's not the point. What's important is that it says volumes about Trump's child-like way of processing data. Anyone over the age of six or seven would see the many flaws in his reasoning.
And here is the frightening part; every day he brings that same "stable genius" brain to bear on such issues as Iran policy, climate change and international trade.
But, never fear, he has Jared, Don Jr. and Sean Hannity advising him, so what could go wrong.
Public Service PS: Do not even think about injecting yourself with a disinfectant, for any reason!
