Mayor Pete Takes the Lead in Iowa According to Latest Monmouth Poll
A new Monmouth poll finds that Mayor Pete Buttigieg has taken the lead in Iowa. Buttigieg received the support of 22% of likely caucus-goers, followed by Joe Biden at 19%, Elizabeth Warren at 18% and Bernie Sanders at 13%. Biden and Warren slipped a bit as Buttigieg surged since Monmouth's last poll in August. Support for Sen. Kamala Harris decreased by 9 points since August.
Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar moved into fifth place with 5% and the remainder, including Harris, registered 3% or less.
