European Union: Fully Vaccinated Americans are Welcome to Visit Europe this Summer

Americans who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be allowed to visit the nations of the European Union (EU) this summer. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission made the announcement yesterday saying, “All 27 member states will accept, unconditionally, all those who are vaccinated with vaccines that are approved by E.M.A.”
However, von der Leyen may have been overstating the situation a bit. Exact dates haven't been established yet and the individual member nations of the EU may reserve the right to implement the policy or keep stricter limits in place. The final decision of each EU member will be announced in the coming weeks and no one expects uniformity regarding dates and restrictions. But, for anyone longing to get back to some leisure travel in Europe, the announcement was a wonderful step in the right direction.
In other news, unvaccinated Americans will be free to visit Mar-a-Lago this summer to attend scintillating lectures conducted by Donald Trump Jr. on "modern trends in beard waxing."
