Coronavirus Rebels are "Imbeciles," & Fauci Shames Trump

Social Distancing: In a recent Instagram Live session, the former Game of Thrones actor Sophie Turner tried to undue some of the damage former Lost star Evangeline Lilly had done with her irresponsible comments about flouting social distancing directives. Lilly had argued last week that such restrictions violated her "freedom."

Lilly: "I have two young kids," the actor wrote in response to a fan who called her decision irresponsible. She went on to say, "Some people value their lives over their freedom, some people value freedom over their lives."

Lilly's comments are moronic on a variety of levels, and young people who are throwing "corona parties" and gathering by the hundreds on beaches in Europe, Florida and California don't need additional encouragement to be stupid. Freedom comes with responsibilities; one would think Lilly would understand that at her age.

So, yesterday, Sophie Turner spoke out in response.

Turner, Twitter via Buzzfeed: "Stay inside," she urged her followers. "Don't be fucking stupid. Even if you count your 'freedom over [...] your health.''

Well said, but the French Interior Minister, explained it even better yesterday.

ABC: “Some consider they're little heroes when they break the rules," French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said. "Well, no. You're an imbecile, and especially a threat to yourself.”

Fauci Discusses Having to Work with Trump: In his comments and body language, it's clear that Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, thinks that Donald Trump is a dangerous impediment to fighting the coronavirus. Yesterday, he was asked about working with Trump and his frustration seemed to boil over.

Washington Post: "When asked Sunday by Science magazine’s Jon Cohen about having to stand in front of the nation as “the representative of truth and facts” when “things are being said that aren’t true and aren’t factual,” the 79-year-old said there is only so much he can do."
“I can’t jump in front of the microphone and push him down,” Fauci said, referencing Trump. “Okay, he said it. Let’s try and get it corrected for the next time.” ...
..."Cohen also pressed Fauci on Trump making statements that don’t “comport with facts,” calling attention to the president’s recent misleading suggestion that China could have revealed details of the outbreak “three or four months” earlier."
“I know, but what do you want me to do?,” Fauci responded. “I mean, seriously Jon, let’s get real, what do you want me to do?”

America will get through this crisis, despite Donald Trump, because of truth-tellers like Anthony Fauci...... and Sophie Turner.
