More Than 450 Former Federal Prosecutors Say That Trump Would have been Charged with Obstruction had
Republican and Democratic former Federal Prosecutors from all over the country joined yesterday to sign a statement asserting that Donald Trump would have been charged with obstruction of justice had he not been a sitting President.
They then proceed to detail actions by the President that constitute obstruction of justice. Their statement provides a powerful rebuttal to Attorney General William Barr's assertion that there is insufficient evidence to prove obstruction.
As we have said before, "If the President's actions to derail the investigation don't constitute obstruction of justice, it's difficult to imagine that anyone's ever would. He tried to sabotage the inquiry at every turn."
[Update 5/7/19] The number jumped to 650 former Federal Prosecutors as more signed on during the day.
