McConnell Wants Congress to Dismantle the Affordable Care Act if Republicans Win in November
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that Republicans should again try to repeal the Affordable Care Act if they win enough seats in the upcoming midterm election. And he called their failure to dismantle Obamacare in 2017, “the one disappointment of this Congress from a Republican point of view.”
With the midterms just 3 weeks away, McConnell seems to be laying out Republican priorities if they should keep the majority in the House and Senate. In an interview with Bloomberg on Tuesday he blamed Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid for the rising budget deficit and suggested that they needed to be cut in order to match ..."the demographics of America in the future.”
If nothing else, McConnell has clarified the stakes on November 6th.
