Trump Caves, Proves His Arguments Were Lies

With the flick of his pen Donald Trump ended his child separation policy and proved his arguments about the scheme were mere fairy tales concocted by Stephen Miller to provide Fox News and his faithful with excuses to blame Democrats. But as the administration's lies about the policy began to unravel, it became clear that the scheme was always about appearing to be tough on the border and giving Congressional Republicans more hostages to trade for his wall. He always had the power to end the policy, but it took immense public pressure to get him to surrender.
