Democrats Continue to Hold an Edge in Voter Enthusiasm
In looking at polling data, the voter enthusiasm numbers are often the best indicator of who will actually show up on election day. Its a measure of how motivated voters are.
A new NBC/WSJ poll finds "Democrats with a significant advantage in enthusiasm, with 66 percent of Democrats expressing a high level of interest (either a “9” or “10” on a 10-point scale) in November’s elections, versus 49 percent for Republicans."
That is quite similar to the advantage that Republicans had in their "wave" election in 2010. So, this will be an important indicator of what to expect in November.
