Sam Baker, Axios: According to the Congressional Budget Office, the Affordable Care Act helped to reduce income inequality in the US by subsidizing health insurance [or through the provision of Medicaid benefits] for those in the lowest 40% of income while ACA taxes reduced the income of the top 1% by a bit more than 1%.
