British Writer Captures the Essence of Donald Trump in Two Sentences

British writer Nate White wrote a piece recently about why Donald Trump is not well thought of in the UK and it's both witty and remarkably insightful. His piece has been re-posted around the web extensively and you can read it in its entirety here. At the end of the article he concludes with two sentences that capture our President perfectly.

Nate White: "He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W look smart. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws – he would make a Trump."

White is correct. Donald Trump exemplifies the worst in us, the things that we know to be ugly in human nature; greed, pettiness, prejudice, hate and willful ignorance. If the President has a gift, it's that he has somehow made these vices into virtues. And, for now, about 42% of Americans are still caught up in his spell, temporarily excused from feelings of empathy or generosity. But, one can't help to wonder if even they understand the darkness within the President's soul.

Nate White: "And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumpfuls of hair and scream in anguish: ‘My God… what… have… I… created?"
